12 p.m. USATF Virginia Open and Masters Championships - 5 km

ELIGIBILITY

Individuals - 2026 USATF Virginia members in good standing are eligible to score in this championship. Members from other associations are invited to compete in the race but will be scored as guest competitors.

Open Teams - USATF Virginia member clubs may score as teams in the Open division. Only athletes who have the club affiliation as part of their USATF member profile will be considered eligible to score for a club (check your club affiliation in your USATF Connect profile).

Individuals

Championship medals will be awarded in the following divisions:

U20 (ages 20 and under - age based on December 31, 2026)
Open (ages 20-39 yrs.)
Masters (5 year masters divisions starting with 40-44)

USATF Team Travel Stipend

The winning Open men's and women's teams each earn a $400 travel stipend from USATF for travel to compete at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships on December 12 in Akron, OH. Only the winning team is eligible, and the club must attend the meet with a team (not individuals) to receive the stipend. Winning open teams can download the stipend reimbursement form here.
