How did you get your start in track & field?

I got my start in Track and Field in middle school when I knew almost nothing about it. I just enjoyed the thrill of running and my freshman year of High school when I met Coach Maurice is when I started running competitively.

You had a very successful high school career, what would you consider the two most memorable highlights?

The two most memorable moments in my track career would be when I went to Pen Relays and ran with my team in front of a stadium with thousands of people watching me. Another moment would be my sophomore year when I ran at USATF Nationals in Sacramento California. I was a national champion in both the 400m and 4x400 relay. I enjoyed the thrill of the race and spending time with my team, it was one of the best trips I have taken for track and field.

Favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject in school would be math. Not a lot of people like math but I like a challenge and once you get the hang of it is quite easy to me at least.

Something unique about you that we might not know about you?

I am double jointed. I can rotate my arms all the way around my body and back up. Not many people can do that.

Favorite Workout?

I do not have a favorite workout lol. I dread all of my workouts but if I was to have one it would be a nice short and easy sprint day workout.

Favorite Food?

I love love love mac and cheese, it has always been my favorite food and will forever be. I have loved it since I was a little girl always begging my mom to make some more.

You recently announced you would be attending South Carolina in the fall.  What other schools did you consider?

I also considered Texas, LSU, Florida, and University of Southern California

When it came time to make a choice what were the factors for choosing South Carolina over the other schools?

The coaching staff and the team, it was also a lot closer to home

I will be studying Civil Engineering

What do you want to me doing in 20 years?
