Virginians Win 25 Titles at Masters Championships in Alabama

The 2025 USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships concluded on Sunday (20-July) at Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. A total of 1,192 athletes from all 50 states competed in the four-day national championship.

USATF Virginia was represented by 40 athletes who delivered outstanding performances throughout the meet. Virginia athletes brought home 25 national titles and made 50 total trips to the awards podium, earning medals for top-three finishes.

Several standout athletes delivered exceptional performances. Ronald Humphrey (M65-69) was the most dominant performer, capturing six gold medals across the sprints, hurdles, jumps, and pentathlon while posting world-class age-graded marks of 92.75% (300m Hurdles) and 91.67% (100m). Linda Harper (W70-74) swept the throwing events with four golds, while Bethany Spector (W35-39) and Anna Roberts (W30-34) each secured triple golds in distance and throws, respectively. Micheal Hanks (M60-64) triumphed in all three horizontal jumps, and the Pony Express TF Club added multiple relay victories and individual wins to cap an impressive team placing of 7th (out of 129 teams) when combining the men's and women's team scores.
