Chantry, Humphrey lead 26 medal haul by Virginia athletes at the masters indoor nationals in North Carolina

 
Twenty three (23) athletes from Virginia competed in the 2019 USATF Masters Indoor Championships held March 1-3 in Winston Salem, NC.

Virginia athletes won a total of 26 medals.  Winning national titles were Walter Bass (M75 Shot Put), Stephen Chantry (M60 800m and 1 mile), Rebecca Garson (W50 3000m Race Walk), Ronald Humphrey (M60 200m and 400m), Stanley Peyton, Jr. (M30 400m, 800m, and 1 mile), and John Vellenoweth (M30 Pole Vault).
