Angell heats up Atlanta for fourth national title in 2018

In His Words - David Angell
I knew coming into the race that John Gardiner from Cal Coast was probably going to be the biggest threat for the win. We always finish pretty close together and have a good battle, and he certainly made me work for it on Saturday, right up until the very end.  I finished 3rd overall at the 5K Championships in 2016, and 2nd in 2017, so I really wanted to continue that progress and get the overall win this year.  I think everyone had been dreading a race in the heat and humidity of Atlanta in August, but it actually turned out to be a pretty good day because of the cloud cover.  I couldn't be more pleased with the results and how things went.
