Location: Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), 2214 Rock Hill Road, Room #270  

Purpose: The purpose of the clinics is to assist coaches, meet planners, referees, and track officials in creating a successful track & field environment.  The clinics will stress the fundamentals of track officiating, points of emphasis, new changes from all rule books, national mechanics, and tips of the trade. 

The clinic will be broken into 2 parts:  
Part 1 is dedicated for new officials that are interested in being certified.  During this 1st hour, we will do registration, paperwork, and orientation for new officials.  Even though this portion is geared towards the newer official, it is open to ANY official who wish to come early and attend. 
The 2nd portion is the standard clinic (for ALL). 

New officials’ clinic at 8:00 
registration at 8:30 
clinic starts for ALL at 9:00
Tentative time schedule:
1 hour: New officials’ certification/orientation 
30 minutes of position-by-position descriptions, duties, and responsibilities
20-30 min: Certification upgrades, setting goals, updates from USATF national meeting
2+ hours: Safety and rules changes using points of emphasis, Q&A
30 minutes – open Q&A and advice – group discussion
Door prizes: during the clinic
Cost: Cost of advance registration has been set to $30, but will be $35 at the door.  If you elect to become a certified official, your certification fee will be covered by your clinic fees. 
Credit cards will be accepted on the day of the clinic.
