ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals: Current USATF membership is required to compete. Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted prior to registration and participation. Proof of birth along with the athlete’s USATF membership number must be scanned and emailed to Melissa Johnson at b8bygrl@yahoo.com for verification and submission into the national database. Entry into the meet will not be accepted without Birth Verification completed in the system. Please do not wait until the last minute to do this. You risk the chance of missing the registration deadline. If proof of birth has previously been submitted, you do not have to submit it again.

Teams: Only registered USATF member clubs may enter a team. All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with that club as part of their USATF membership. To enter a team, a club must complete the team entry/declaration process during online registrations. Only athletes listed on the team declaration roster will be eligible to represent the club at the Association, Regional or National championships.

USATF MEMBERSHIP – IMPORTANT
Runners must have a 2016 or 2017 USATF membership to enter the meet and use the online registration. Memberships may be obtained online. 2016 membership begins on November 1 and is good for the remainder of 2016 and all of 2017. USATF membership for ages 18 and under is $20.00.
 
TEAM SCORING
Limited to USATF clubs – Top 2 by place. If a team has more than 8 runners in one age division, they must declare their top 8 runners by designating “A,” “B,” “C,” etc... team.

COMPETITION RULES
The Virginia Association championships will be governed by USATF rules 304 and 305(3)

ENTRY FEES & DEADLINES:
Individual Fees: $10.00 per athlete. Team Fees: No charge
The online entry system accepts VISA, Master Card, and Discover credit cards.

Deadline: On-Time Registration: Must be completed by 11:59p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS
All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition, chest-high on the front of their jerseys. Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes from 7:00a.m.- 10:00a.m. the day of the meet.

COURSE INFORMATION
The course will open at 7:00 AM on Saturday November 2. The walk-thru will be at 7:30 A.M. The course will be closed at 9:30 AM. No one will be allowed on the course for warm - up after this time. There are plenty of areas for warming up in the adjacent fields. Restroom facilities and a First-Aid Station will be available. No dressing facility is available.

EVENT RESULTS
During competition, event results will be posted outside of the check-in tent. In addition, event results will be posted at www.virginia.usatf.org.

AWARDS
USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top ten individuals in each age division.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ADVANCEMENTS 
The top 15 athletes and top 2 teams in each age divisions will qualify for the  USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships to be held on Saturday, December 9 in Hoover, Alabama.  Note: a regional championship will not be held

Athletes participating in the 8 & Under Division must be 7 yrs. of age by December 31, 2016 in order to participate in the national championship.

DIRECTIONS
From the East - Take I-64 Westbound to I-295 Northbound. Follow I-295 Northbound to exit 38-A (Pole Green Road). Travel Eastbound on Pole Green Road for approx. 3.9 miles. Pole Green Park will be on the left.

From the West – Take I-64 Eastbound to I-295 Southbound. Follow I-295 Southbound to exit 38-A (Pole Green Road). Travel Eastbound on Pole Green Road for approx. 3.9 miles. Pole Green Park will be on the left.

From the North – Take I-95 Southbound to I-295 Southbound. Follow I-295 Southbound to Exit 38-A (Pole Green Road). Travel Eastbound on Pole Green Road for approx. 3.9 miles. Pole Green Park will be on the left.

From the South – Take I-95 Northbound to I-295 Northbound. Follow I-295 Northbound to Exit 38-A (Pole Green Road). Travel Eastbound on Pole Green Road for approx. 3.9 miles. Pole Green Park will be on the left.

From the East (Route 360) – Take Route 360 Westbound and turn right onto Route 615 (Walnut Grove Road). Follow Walnut Grove Road for approx. 1 mile to Pole Green Road. Turn left onto Pole Green Road. Travel Westbound on Pole Green Road ofr approx. 1.5 miles. Pole Green Park will be on the right.
